During the born of prophet
Muhammad in 571M, palestin is under the authority of power of Rome (Europe).
Then, 40 years later, the prophet was appointed as the messenger of Allah. This
begins the era of Islam, and prophet obligation to spread the words of Allah to
all mankind. In the ways in fight for Allah’s right, prophet Muhammad had
undergone a lots of obstacle. One of the biggest test is the lost of his two
beloved person, his wife Siti Khadijah Khawalid and his uncle, Abu Talib bin
Abu Mutalib. The saddest story to be told is his uncle not get a chance to
embrace Islam.
Allah always near to his servant as stated in
surah al-Baqarah verse 186 “When My servants ask you concerning Me, I am indeed
close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calls on Me:
let them also, with a will, listen to My call, and believe in Me: that they may
walk in the right way.”.
So, Allah
sent down the israj mikraj event so that prophet Muhammad not become so
overwhelming. Thus, israj mikraj event took place between Masjid al-Haram and
Sidratu Muntaha on 621M. First, the prophet is israk from Masjid al-Haram to
Masjid al-Aqsa in Baitul Maqdis, Palestin. There, the most significant event
happen, The Prophet become Iman and lead the prayer of all of other prophets in
Masjid al-Aqsa. Then, the prophet is mikraj from Baitul Maqdis to Sidratu
Muntaha. This event gave a signal to The Prophet to open Palestin thus start
the quest of The Prophet to conquer Palestin from Rome.
In
630M, The Prophet had sent 3000 army opposed
to the great power of Rome by that time with the power of
150,000 troops who invaded Palestine. The battle is known as
Muktah War where its witness the death of three brave worriers of
Muslim. Before went to the war, The Prophet said if the leader of
war, Zaid bin Haritha death, then the position is replaced
by Ja'far bin Abi Talib and subsequently if
Ja’afar bin Abi Talib death, the position is replaced by
Abdullah bin Rawahah who is also end as a martyr, and
lastly the position was replaced by Khalid al-Walid. Khalid al-Walid at
the end leads the Muslim army to undo from war with pride. He made a good
strategy which successful frighten the enemy by confusing them with the actual
number of Muslim army. By that strategy, the death of Muslim army during Muktah
war is limited eventhough they by that time near to defeat.
The
prophet desire to conquer Palestin not easily fade by the defeate of Muktah
war. On 631M,The Prophet SAW led 30,000 troops of
Islam’s army to the Palestin in Tabuk to against
the great powers of Europe. It is said that Tabuk war is the last war participate by
The Prophet and happened in Rejab. A brief history about the war is the war had
plan to be held in Tabuk due to to they achieve words of not destroying their
properties. However, Tabuk is situated away from Medinah and the season by that
time was hot, not only that it was near the season of harvesting in Medinah.
This war revealed those who are pretend to embrace Islam because those
munafiqin start to lost hope to The Prophet. Eventhough in this war, the Europe
army refuse to came out for battle so that no real war takes place, The Prophet
had successfully made a piece agreement and follow Islam rules by jizyah from
Raja Aliah, suku Jarba’ and Azruh. The aim of Prophet Muhammad to spread the
words of Islam to Europe is done and the power of Islamic countries become vast
and frigtened other countries .
The series of conquering Palestin is
continued in 632M where The Prophet had set up
the Muslim army under the leadership of Osama
bin Zahid (aged 17 years) against the Romans
in Ubna near Muktah in Palestine, but The Prophet never
make it to see the war as he already passed
away. As a results, Caliph Abu Bakr continued sending the
Osama army in the days of his administration.
The
freedom of Palestine from Rome is gain during Caliph Umar al-Khattab in
636M. Umar’s agreements ensure the safety
of Palestinian population and do not allow any Jew to live
there. This agreement was witnessed by the Companians, among
them
were Khalid al-Walid, 'Amr ibnal-As, Abdul Rahman bin Auf and Muawiya ibn Sufyan.
However, during 15th
of July 1099Mm the dark age of Palestine is begin to repeat again.The Crusade I had started. Consequently,Baitul Maqdis was conquered by the Crusaders. The Crusaders had conquered Palestine and killed 70,000 Muslims around Al-Aqsa Mosque who were trying to cover there. In
1147M, the Crusade II took place. Nusuruddin Mahmud defeated the
English at Aqsalan. In 1171M, Salehuddin al-Ayubi became the ruler by
replacing asaluddin Syirkhuh.
2nd of October 1187M is the date
that Palastinian ought to remember. It is the date of Muslim
army under the leadership of Salehuddin al-Ayubi managed to free
Baitul Maqdis after 88 years being occupied by the
Crusaders. This happened after the Crusaders were defeated
in Hittin War in which more than 10,000 soldiers were
killed.
The freedom of
palestin not last long, in 1191M, The Crusade III took place. Subsequently in
1202M,The Crusade IV also took place. Then The Crusade V (1215M),The Crusade VI
(1229M), The Crusade VII (11239M), The Crusade VIII (1244M) and lastly The
Crusade IX (1248M)
At the end, during
1517M,Palestin was being ruled under Ottoman empayar
